Lofton remained a deep threat
| | James Lofton caught 21 touchdown passes for the Bills. | James Lofton finished a 16-year pro career in 1993, leaving with more
career receiving yards than any NFL player to that point: 14,004 yards.
The majority of that total came for Green Bay, where he became was a
six-time pro Bowler. Lofton, who was a first round pick out of Stanford
in 1978, started 136 consecutive games for the Packers until missing the
last game of 1986, and caught at least one pass in 132 of those league
games. Lofton played for his hometown L.A. Raiders from 1987-88, then
signed with the Bills in 1989. He played with the Bills for four seasons and caught 21 touchdown passes and had a 61-yard touchdown in Super Bowl XXV.
He finished his career with the Raiders in 1993.

Lofton had 75 career touchdown receptions.
He led the NFL in receiving yards per catch in 1983 (22.4) and 1984 (22.0).
Lofton ranks ninth in career receptions with 764.
Lofton was named to six consecutive Pro Bowls (1980-85).
