 KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Craig Biggio, in a 1-for-23 slump, went 2-for-2 Thursday as the Houston Astros beat the Atlanta Braves 6-5 Thursday, Biggio singled off Tom Glavine the first inning and doubled in the second, raising his batting average to .120. Astros starter Jose Lima allowed four runs and nine hits in 4 2-3 innings. Winner Mike Maddux, whose brother, Greg, is Atlanta's ace, allowed one run and one hit in 1 1-3 innings. Glavine struggled, allowing three runs and five hits in three innings. Braves pitchers walked seven, including four by loser Rafael Medina, who gave up three runs and three hits in 1 2-3 innings. Ozzie Guillen went 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Mitch Meluskey went 2-for-3, and Julio Lugo had two RBIs for the Astros. Atlanta had the bases loaded in the ninth off closer Billy Wagner, who retired got the final out. Notes: Astros RHP Scott Elarton will throw in a game situation for the first time this spring Friday: two innings in a minor league game. ... Atlanta C Javy Lopez was scratched from the starting lineup because of a sore back.
