MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Rookie Adam Piatt singled in two runs in a five-run seventh inning as the Oakland Athletics rallied to beat the Minnesota Twins 5-2 Friday night. Gil Heredia (2-2) allowed two runs -- both unearned -- in six innings for Oakland, which won for just the third time in eight games. Heredia struck out three and walked two. Matt Lawton drove in two runs on two ground-rule doubles for Minnesota, which lost its second straight. Lawton has a 14-game hitting streak, the longest of his career. Minnesota starter Brad Radke (2-3) was pitching a one-hit shutout before the A's batted around in the seventh. Matt Stairs led off the inning with a single and moved to third on Ramon Hernandez's one-out double. Eric Chavez followed with an RBI single to chase Radke. Pinch-hitter Olmedo Saenz singled off Hector Carrasco to tie the game, and Terrence Long's sacrifice fly off Travis Miller made it 3-2. Piatt followed with a single up the middle to make it 5-2. Jason Isringhausen got the final four outs for his fourth save in as many chances. Radke allowed three runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out five and walked three. The right-hander has given up 10 runs in his last 29 innings after allowing 11 in his first 11 1/3 innings. Minnesota took advantage of second baseman Frank Menechino's two errors to score both of its runs. Todd Walker led off the third with a hard grounder that Menechino bobbled. After Walker moved to second on a fielder's choice, Lawton lined a double that bounced over the wall in left-center. Lawton hit another ground-rule double to left-center to make it 2-0 in the fifth. Menechino had a throwing error that extended the inning. Game notesOakland will finish April with a losing record for the third straight season. ... Guzman hit a hard grounder to Jason Giambi in the first inning that got stuck in the web of the first baseman's glove. Giambi had to settle for the unassisted putout instead of turning the double play. ... Radke walked more than two batters for the first time this season. He did it only four times last year.
