HOUSTON (AP) -- Mitch Meluskey hit a three-run home run and Scott Elarton limited Cincinnati to four hits in seven innings as the Houston Astros won 10-3 Sunday night, snapping the Reds' six-game winning streak. Houston won for the first time in three games and improved to 6-12 at Enron Field, the Astros' new ballpark. Meluskey's homer, his fifth of the year, broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning. He drove in Jeff Bagwell, who was hit by a pitch, and Richard Hidalgo, who walked. Meluskey, who was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, hit the first pitch over the right-field wall. Elarton (2-0) allowed two runs, struck out a season high eight and walked five. He protected Houston's four-run lead in the seventh, fanning Dmitri Young with the bases loaded. Young, who was 0-for-4 with a walk, had his career-high 18-game hitting streak -- the NL's longest this season -- snapped. Steve Parris (2-5) lasted six innings and allowed six runs on 10 hits. He struck out three and walked four. The Reds took a 2-0 lead in the first when Dante Bichette singled to left-center, driving in Sean Casey and Ken Griffey Jr. Bill Spiers, who went 3-for-4, drove in Hidalgo from second with a single to left center, cutting the deficit in half. The Astros then loaded the bases on Meluskey's single and a walk to Elarton. Roger Cedeno hit into a double play that scored Meluskey and tied it at 2. After Meluskey gave the Astros the lead in the fifth, Bagwell's RBI double in the sixth made it 6-2. Houston added four runs in the eighth, highlighted by Bagwell's two-run single. Reds first baseman Sean Casey and third base coach Ron Oester were ejected by plate umpire Mike Van Vleet after arguing a called third strike in the fifth inning. Juan Castro's triple to left center in the eighth off Joe Slusarski drove in Eddie Taubensee with Cincinnati's final run. Game notesThe attendance was 41,882, the Astros' seventh sellout in 18 home games ... Pokey Reese and Cedeno each stole one base to remain tied for the NL lead with 14. ...
