TORONTO -- Chuck Finley and five Cleveland relievers
accomplished a rare SkyDome feat.
Toronto had its consecutive homer streak at home end at 22, one
short of the American League record, and the Indians scored eight runs in the
eighth inning to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-3 on Tuesday night.

The Blue Jays failed to homer at SkyDome for just the fourth
time in 52 games.
"The bullpen did a great job against Toronto because they're
deadly at the SkyDome," Finley said.
The Blue Jays are on pace to hit more than 160 home runs at
home.
Finley (9-7) gave up two runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
He struck out seven and walked four.
With the score 3-2 in the sixth, Finley walked Carlos Delgado
and Todd Greene before Justin Speier relieved and walked Jose Cruz
to load the bases. Reliever Cameron Cairneross got out of the jam
by getting pinch-hitter Darrin Fletcher to hit a broken-bat pop up
to Alomar at second base.
"Cameron came in and did a great job getting Fletcher out on a
2-0 count," Finley said. "The bullpen then shut them down all the
way till the end, and then the offense responded in the eighth
inning with a big outburst."
Toronto starter Kelvim Escobar (7-10) allowed just three hits
before Kenny Lofton led off the eighth with a single. After Omar
Vizquel hit a run-scoring double, Escobar walked Manny Ramirez
intentionally before Pedro Borbon relieved.
Borbon faced just three batters and gave up three runs. He
allowed a run-scoring single to Richie Sexson before walking Travis Fryman
intentionally and allowing a run-scoring single to Ricky Ledee.
"It's real frustrating because I'm hurting the team," said
Borbon, who has a 6.03 ERA. "This is the worst year I've had. It's
frustrating because I'm healthy."
Reliever Paul Quantrill then gave up a two-run single to Jolbert
Cabrera and a two-run double to Sandy Alomar.
Roberto Alomar, who missed four games with a sore left ankle,
homered in the first. He also doubled and scored a run in the
fourth.
Delgado hit a two-run double off Finley in the fourth.
Escobar gave up six runs and five hits in 7 1/3 innings.
Game notes The Blue Jays also homered in 21 consecutive home games from
April 3 to May 10. ... Cleveland's bullpen allowed just one run on
two hits in 3 1/3 innings. Steve Reed and Paul Shuey each pitched
scoreless innings. Jamie Brewington gave up one run in the ninth.
... Toronto manager Jim Fregosi disagreed with general manager Gord Ash's
decision to fire pitching coach Rick Langford on Sunday. "I don't
think it was the right decision," Fregosi said. "I just think it
makes for a difficult transition." Toronto assistant GM Dave
Stewart, who was San Diego's pitching coach in 1998, replaced him.
Stewart will remain as assistant GM. ... The Blue Jays entered the
game with the third worst ERA in the AL (5.47.). ... The Indians
had lost four of their previous five. ... Alomar has 10 home runs.
