MONTREAL (AP) -- Todd Helton homered twice, including a go-ahead, two-run drive in the ninth inning as the Colorado Rockies beat the Montreal Expos 4-3 Monday night for a four-game sweep. Helton went 3-for-5 to raise his major league-leading average to .394. With the Rockies trailing 3-0 in the eighth, he homered off Anthony Telford. Then, after Jeff Cirillo hit an RBI single with two outs in the ninth, Helton hit a two-run homer off Scott Strickland (4-3), who has blown three of five save chances. Helton, who has 29 homers and 101 RBI, has reached safely in 19 of 22 plate appearances during the first five games of the Rockies' nine-game road trip. He had his eighth multihomer game of the season, the 16th of his career. Craig House (1-0) allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings, and Jose Jimenez got three outs for his 16th save. Expos starter Javier Vazquez allowed seven hits in seven shutout innings and tied his career high with 10 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Rockies starter Julian Tavarez scattered four hits while holding the Expos scoreless in the first six innings. Montreal took a 3-0 lead in the seventh, when Lee Stevens singled leading off and advanced to second on Geoff Blum's hit-and-run chopper to shortstop. Andy Tracy was intentionally walked and Michael Barrett followed with a drive off the center-field wall that scored Stevens. Pinch-hitter Wilton Guerrero grounded to Helton, who stepped on first, then thr home too late to get Tracy, who slid in ahead of Brent Mayne's tag. Peter Bergeron followed with an RBI double. The Rockies had at least 10 hits in each of the first five games of their current road trip, going 69-for-194 (.356) in those games. The Rockies were hitting a NL-low .232 on the road prior to their current trip. ...
