Divac makes sure Kings don't miss Webber

RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME FLOW

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- With Chris Webber sidelined, the Sacramento Kings' reserves proved to be too much for the Orlando Magic.

Vlade Divac had 17 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks as the Kings won their seventh straight with a 111-103 victory over the Magic on Thursday night.

But it was three of the team's prominent reserves who helped the Kings win for the 11th time in 13 games.

Lawrence Funderburke scored 10 of his 15 points during a key fourth-quarter stretch when the Kings took the lead for good. Tyrone Corbin scored 12 points and Jon Barry had all nine of his points in the fourth quarter.

"Tyrone Corbin is great. He's a guy to look up to, a real pro, always ready," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "He hasn't played much, but we needed him and he stepped up. So did Lawrence, who hasn't played much lately because Chris has played so well. And Jon made a big shot for us."

The Kings played without Webber, their leading scorer and rebounder, who is day-to-day with a neck strain.

Starting only his second game in two years and first this season, Predrag Stojakovic had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings, whose 16-2 home mark is the best in franchise history since the Rochester Royals began the season 23-0 in 1949-50.

"We missed Chris a lot, but we have other guys who can step up," Divac said. "Our bench played great."

Corey Maggette scored 18 points and Darrell Armstrong added 16 for Orlando, which suffered its eighth straight loss and 12th in 13 games.

"They are a strong team with Chris, but without him we had a better chance," Orlando coach Doc Rivers said. "But they move the ball so well. They're unselfish, that means they are well-coached."

Funderburke scored 10 points during an 18-4 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter as Sacramento took a 102-93 lead. The Kings never trailed again.

Chucky Atkins connected on a 3-pointer, pulling the Magic to 106-103 with 39 seconds remaining.

Barry responded for the Kings, making a 3-pointer with 22.6 left, building the lead back to six.

"I was thankful we were able to stay close and make some big shots in the fourth quarter," Adelman said. "We're pretty hard to beat right now at home."

Orlando, trailing by six, closed the third quarter with an 18-7 run, taking an 89-84 lead.

Sacramento made four straight 3-pointers, two of them by Nick Anderson, to take a 77-71 lead at the 6:32 mark of the third quarter.

"I thought we ran our defensive scheme real well, just fortunately they were breaking us down and both those guys (Funderburke and Corbin) were hitting shots from the outside," Armstrong said.

Despite 13 turnovers, the Kings took a 61-59 lead into halftime. Both Stojakovic and Divac had 12 first-half points for Sacramento.

Armstrong scored 14 and Maggette 10 for Orlando, which shot 51 percent in the opening half.

Game notes
Armstrong was 6-of-7 from the field in the first quarter, scoring 12 points. ... Playing against his former team, Anderson had a sluggish first half, making 1 of 4 shots and scoring three points. ... Orlando attempted only one 3-pointer in the first half and was 1-of-7 overall. ... The Kings had 20 turnovers through three quarters and finished with 23.
