VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ The Vancouver Grizzlies finally ran out of time against Minnesota.

Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins and Stu Jackson, the team's president and general manager since the inaugural 1994-95 season, might be at the end of the line, too.

Vancouver's 104-94 double-overtime loss to Minnesota on Friday night might have been the final home game for Hollins and Jackson, expected to be replaced next week when Michael Heisley closes his deal to purchase the club.

``I'm not the first coach whose job has been the source of speculation and I won't be the last,'' Hollins said.

``There were a lot of times this season where I was stressed and depressed. But I know I've been in the league 22 years and that should help me out in the future.''

Terrell Brandon scored eight of his 20 points in the second overtime to pace the Timberwolves to a sweep of the four-game season series. Wally Szczerbiak and Kevin Garnett also added 20 each for Minnesota. Garnett needed the second overtime to finish with 12 rebounds and collect his 55th double-double of the season.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim led the Grizzlies with 27 points and 17 rebounds in 55 minutes. The game marked a dubious first for Vancouver, which did not receive a single point off the bench in 68 minutes logged by its reserves.

Veteran Dennis Scott got his Vancouver teammates to wear black socks as a tribute to Hollins. However, that was the extent of Scott's contribution, or that of his fellow reserves.

``We just wanted to make a statement that we can play together as a team, we do believe in the coaching staff, and everybody on the team believes in each other,'' said Michael Dickerson, who scored 22 points for Vancouver.

With Joe Smith scoring 19 points for Minnesota, the Wolves outscored Vancouver reserves 36-0. Over the four-game season series, Minnesota's reserves held a 153-63 edge.

``This wasn't what we had planned,'' said Wolves coach Flip Saunders, whose team played its sixth overtime game in its last 21 starts. ``We played this team a lot recently and every time we've played them in the past we get them down in the second quarter, then sort of roll over and we sort of cakewalk through the game. Tonight they never lost their aggressiveness.''

Heisley did not meet Friday with Hollins or his new team during his first day in Vancouver since being approved by the league's Board of Governors earlier in the week.

``That would have been (appropriate), but he's the guy signing the checks,'' Hollins said.

Notes: Minnesota guard Bobby Jackson said he has not been subpoenaed in connection with alleged academic fraud in the men's basketball program at the University of Minnesota. ... Heisley flew into town to widespread speculation he has made offers to Dick Versace to coach the Grizzlies next season and Indiana vice-president Billy Knight to serve as general manager. ``We've talked to 20 or more people but we have made no offers,'' said Heisley, who confirmed he has worked out a new lease arrangement for his team which will shorten the Grizzlies' obligation to GM Place to a five-year period. ... The game drew 17,748 fans, raising the average attendance for the season to 13,899 _ the lowest in the five-year history of the franchise.
