ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) _ Stephon Marbury scored 32 points, 13 early in the third quarter, and led the New Jersey Nets to a 115-102 exhibition victory over the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night.

New Jersey led 83-72 after three quarters, but Atlanta started the fourth on a 16-5 run, pulling into an 88-88 tie with 6:52 remaining.

Marbury capped a 16-4 run over the next 3 1/2 minutes by feeding Kendall Gill for an alley-oop dunk which gave the Nets a 104-92 lead.

Marbury, who also had eight assists and four steals, was one of six Nets in double figures. Gill had 19, Gheorghe Muresan, Keith Van Horn and Jamie Feick 11 each and Howard Brown 10.

Atlanta was led by Roshown McLeod's 13 points. Reserves Isaiah Rider and Chris Crawford each scored 12 for Atlanta, which was outrebounded 56-46 and was plagued by 23 turnovers which led to 28 New Jersey points.

New Jersey led 52-48 at halftime, with Muresan coming off the bench in the second quarter to give his club a spark. Muresan was 3-for-3 from the field and 1-for-2 from the line in seven minutes and also grabbed four rebounds during his stint.

The teams struggled with the NBA's zero-contact fouling policy, combining for 67 fouls, 35 by the Nets.

A moment of silence was held before the game in memory of Wilt Chamberlain, the NBA great who died earlier Tuesday at age 63.
