AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) _ Tracy McGrady scored 27 points and Vince Carter added 19 as the Toronto Raptors won their second preseason game, beating the Denver Nuggets 100-95 Wednesday night. Chauncey Billups scored 20 points for Denver, which is 1-3 in the exhibition season. The Nuggets top draft choice, James Posey, added 12 points as the Nuggets rested Antonio McDyess, who suffered a sprained right ankle. Toronto (2-2) took a 76-72 lead into the fourth quarter. But Raef LaFrentz scored 11 points in the period including a driving layup and free throw with 3:20 left to pull Denver to within one at 91-90. Billups layup with 2:55 left gave the Nuggets a 92-91 lead. After a 94-94 tie, three free throws by Carter gave Toronto a 97-94 advantage with a minute left. The Nuggets missed three consecutive 3-pointers while McGrady sealed the win by hitting three free throws. The Raptors led 63-53 after going on a 10-2 run early in the third quarter. Two free throws by Nick Van Exel for Denver cut the lead to 72-68. Billups scored 13 of his points in the second quarter, but Toronto led 53-48 at halftime. Doug Christie had 15 as the Raptors led by as many as eight points in the first half.
