TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Tracy McGrady scored 24 points and Darrell Armstrong had 20 points and nine rebounds Friday night to lead the Orlando Magic to a 101-94 preseason victory over the Detroit Pistons. Grant Hill, who spent the first six seasons of his career with Detroit before moving to Orlando this summer, was not in uniform. He is recovering from offseason ankle surgery and has not played in either of the Magic's preseason games. Jerry Stackhouse led the Pistons with 18 points. Ben Wallace, who went from Orlando to Detroit as part of the deal that brought Hill to the Magic, had 10 points and 15 rebounds against his old team. The Magic (2-0) led 25-19 after one quarter, 54-39 at the half and 81-66 going into the final quarter. The Pistons (1-1) pulled within nine on two different occasions, but couldn't any closer until Mateen Cleaves made a pair of free throws to trim Orlando's lead to 99-92 with 32.6 seconds remaining. The teams meet again Saturday night in Orlando.
