PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Shawn Kemp had 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 105-87 Thursday night. Rasheed Wallace added 17 points for the Blazers, who broke the game open in the third quarter. Damon Stoudamire added 11 points and eight assists. Robert Pack scored 20 points for Denver, and George McCloud and Voshon Lenard each added 12. The Nuggets were without Antonio McDyess, who sat out because of lower back spasms, and Tariq Abdul-Wahad, who was nursing a sore right calf. The Nuggets scored only 10 points in the third quarter as the Blazers built a 78-63 lead. Rasheed Wallace hit a short jumper and a dunk right after halftime, but took a seat after official Tommy Nunez gave him a technical foul for arguing a foul call. The Blazers then went on a 9-2 run to end the quarter. Dale Davis scored four quick points inside as Portland built an 84-67 lead and was never threatened in the fourth quarter.
