As a senior, named to the All-District Second Team by the NABC. Was a Second Team All-Mountain West Conference selection by the league's coaching after being one of only two players in the league to finish in the top 15 in scoring (15th), rebounding (8th ) and assists (6th). Played two seasons at Arizona Western Junior College where he was named to the National Junior College All-America team after his sophomore year. At the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, named to all-tournament team after averaging 15.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.7 apg and 2.0 spg.

College highlights at Wyoming
Averaged 13.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg in 31 games as a senior. Scored career-high 26 points against UNLV on Jan. 31. Grabbed season-high 10 rebounds on three separate occasions. Recorded six steals against San Diego State on Jan. 29.

Led Wyoming in steals (2.2 spg) and assists (4.5 apg) as a junior. Finished tied for the team lead in rebounding (7.4 rpg) and second in scoring (11.4 ppg). Was named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Defensive team for the Mountain Division. Recorded six double-doubles on the season. He scored in double figures in 18 of 27 games and handed out five or more assists in 14 contests. Named WAC Player of the Week on Jan. 18 after averaging 18.0 ppg, 12.5 rpg and 5.0 apg in wins over TCU and SMU. Named MVP of the 1998 Cowboy Shootout.
