Was a First Team All-Big East Conference selection as a senior and a Third Team member as a junior. Finished his career as Syracuse's all-time steals leader (329) and second all-time in assists (709) behind New Jersey Nets guard Sherman Douglas. Rose to 16th place on Syracuse's career scoring list with 1,503 points. Became just the fourth Orangemen to record 200 assists in a season during his senior year. Started 131 of the 132 games he appeared in for Syracuse. At Nike Desert Classic, averaged 7.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

College highlights at Syracuse
Had best assist year as a senior, averaging 6.5 apg, 18th in nation. Produced double-digit scoring efforts in 22 of 32 outings and had five or more assists in 28 of 32 games. Was named First Team All-District II by the NABC. Had a season-high 19 points in a victory over LaSalle. Collected 14 points, eight assists, five steals and four rebounds vs. Connecticut on January 24. Dished out a career-high 14 assists vs. Villanova. Shared team scoring honors in the NCAA Tournament first round win over Samford with 17 points, adding six assists, five rebounds and three steals. Closed out his collegiate career with a solid showing vs. Michigan State in the Sweet Sixteen, playing all 40 minutes and totaling 11 points, 10 assists and three steals.

Averaged a career-best 13.9 ppg as a junior. Finished the year ranked seventh in Division I in steals (3.06 spg). He had seven-steal games vs. Notre Dame and Boston College. Captured MVP honors at the Maui Invitational, averaging 16.0 ppg over three games. On January 27 vs. nationally ranked St. John's, he tied his career-high with 24 points. Matched his career-high of 24 points again vs. Seton Hall later in the season. Scored in double figures in nine of his last 10 games, including all three Big East Tournament games. As a sophomore, averaged 10.2 ppg and dished out a team-high 174 assists. Also led the team in steals (79), and minutes (34.2 mpg). Scored a season-high 22 points vs. Providence. Tallied 19 points and 10 assists in Big East opener at St. John's. Scored in double figures in 20 out of 35 contests.

As a freshman, led the Big East in minutes played (35.7 mpg), the first freshmen to do so. He set the freshman record for steals in a season with 90, ranking ninth nationally in steals average (2.8 spg). Averaged 9.6 ppg and 3.5 rpg. Posted two double-doubles and had three games with 10 or more assists. He hit for a career-high 24 points in the Big East Tournament vs. Notre Dame.
