Finished his career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,044 points (11th on Pac-10 career list) and is also the school's all-time steals leader with 258 (third on Pac-10 career list). Just the second player in Pac-10 history to notch 2,000 points and 250 steals (Gary Payton is the other). Earned All-Pac 10 honors twice in his career. Posted a dozen 30-point games in his career. Averaged 9.0 ppg and 3.3 apg at Nike Desert Classic. College highlights at Arizona St. Was No. 4 scorer in nation as a senior (23.0 ppg). Earned national attention with his 61-point outburst at California on January 8 in a 111-108 ASU double-overtime win. The 61 points matched Lew Alcindor's Pac-10 mark set in 1967. Became the first Pac-10 player to notch four 40-point games in one season. Set ASU single season records in points (736) and points per game. Also led the team in assists (111) and steals (74). Was the only senior on a team with six true freshmen and led ASU to just its fourth 19-win season in the past 17 years, including a 10-8 mark in the Pac-10. Also became the first player to earn Pac-10 Player of the Week three straight weeks in one season and became just the fourth player to earn the award four times in a season. As a junior, he was second in the league in scoring at 18.9 ppg and fourth in steals (2.03). He averaged 21.9 ppg in games away from Tempe and averaged 38.3 minutes in the final 12 games of the year. Earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors on Dec. 21 for his Dec. 19 effort at Texas A&M, when he posted 34 points in a triple overtime win. He scored 30 or more on four different occasions as a junior. As a sophomore, averaged 11.3 points and 2.0 steals per game, which was fifth in the Pac-10. He posted three 20-point games. Tallied season-high 24 points vs. Eastern Michigan. Also had 22-point effort vs. Kansas. Recorded a career-high 12 assists vs. Delaware State. In his freshmen year, he became the first ASU freshmen to notch 50 steals (59) and 100 assists (108) en route to earning Pac-10 All-Freshmen honors. He averaged nearly 30 minutes a game and had just 39 turnovers.
