Became the first USF player in 18 years (Quintin Dailey) to win Player of the Year honors. At Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaged 10 ppg. At Nike Desert Classic, averaged 5.3 rpg and 4.0 ppg.

College highlights at San Francisco
As a senior at San Francisco, finished second in the conference in scoring (16.5 ppg) and led the league in rebounding (9.0 rpg). Shot 58.3 percent from the field, 16th in nation. Finished with 11 double-doubles, including a 31-point, 20-rebound effort vs. St. Mary's. Scored a season-high 37 points vs. Nevada. Averaged 1.5 blocks per game. Scored in double figures in 22 of 28 games. Named WCC Player of the Month for December. Was USF's team MVP and was also named MVP of the NABC All-Star Game at the Final Four. Sat out 1998-99 season at San Francisco to comply with transfer rules.

Started 14 games as a junior at Cal and averaged 6.0 ppg and 3.7 rpg. Shot .477 from the floor and blocked 13 shots. Pulled down season-high eight rebounds vs. Portland State, Arizona and USC. Named to the Golden Bear All-Tournament Team after scoring 14 points vs. New Hampshire in the first round. Scored nine points and added a team-high six rebounds at North Carolina. Played in all 32 games as a sophomore and averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Shot .508 from the floor. Scored a career-high 15 points vs. Mississippi State. Scored 14 points vs. Texas Southern. Played Stanford twice and held Tim Young (now with Golden State Warriors) to just 5-for-18 shooting. Had six points and two rebounds in 13 minutes vs. Villanova in the NCAA Tournament. As a freshman, averaged 2.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 19 games off the bench. Scored a season-high eight points and pulled down seven rebounds vs. Texas Southern. Helped USF top Minnesota with two late tip-ins.
