As a senior, missed first eight games of the season due to a partially torn medial cruciate ligament in left knee, which did not require surgery. Also missed three games due to torn ligaments in his left elbow and right thumb. Earned First Team All-District 13 honors. Led Utah in scoring 14 times. Had six 20-point games and 18 double-figure games. Averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in Mountain West Tournament. Led Mountain West Conference in free-throw shooting (84.5 percent) during league play.

First Team All-Western Athletic Conference Pacific Division as a junior. Ranked 13th in the WAC and second on the team in scoring (15.3 ppg). Led Utah in scoring (16.4) in WAC play. Led conference in free-throw shooting percentage (.833). Averaged 17 points and 4.5 rebounds in two NCAA Tournament games. Named to the 1998-99 GTE Academic All-America Second Team and academic all-district team.

As a sophomore, started all 34 games and was named Second Team All-WAC Mountain Division. Team's third-leading scorer (12.5 ppg). Paced Utes in scoring in eight games.
