BOSTON -- Milt Palacio's short but memorable stint with the
Boston Celtics has ended.
Palacio, whose buzzer-beating 3-pointer gave the Celtics a
112-111 victory over New Jersey on Dec. 28, was waived Friday.
Palacio, 22, appeared in 12 games for the Celtics, starting
three. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.3 assists per game, playing an
average of 15.3 minutes per contest.
The Celtics signed Palacio on Dec. 6 in an effort to shore up a
backcourt depleted by injuries. He appeared in 53 games for
Vancouver in the 1999-2000 season, averaging two points per game.
