Collision sends Maggette to hospital
Associated Press

ATLANTA -- Los Angeles Clippers forward Corey Maggette was
taken to Piedmont Hospital after taking an elbow to the left ear
Saturday night.
Maggette was driving to the basket when he was called for
charging Roshown McLeod with 7:09 left in the third quarter.
Atlanta center Dikembe Mutombo, with his back to Maggette,
inadvertently hit the second-year forward with his left elbow as
both players fell backward to the floor.
Clippers trainer Jasen Powell described Maggette's injury as
"ear trauma."
Powell did not give a prognosis on the player's availability for
Los Angeles' next game, Monday at Indianapolis.
