SAN ANTONIO -- Golden State guard Mookie Blaylock was
stripped of his captaincy Monday after skipping practice to
allegedly play golf.
Antawn Jamison took Blaylock's place as captain after coach Dave
Cowens demoted Blaylock, Warriors spokesman Raymond Ridder said.
Blaylock, who missed Sunday's practice, did not start Monday
against the San Antonio Spurs. He entered the game late in the
first quarter.
Blaylock had started 34 games this season, averaging 10.9 points
per game.
