Fizer replaces Jackson on roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Marcus Fizer of Chicago Bulls has replaced Marc Jackson of the Golden State Warriors on the USA Team roster for the upcoming Goodwill Games.

Jackson was forced to withdraw from the team because of serious health problems with a member of his family.

The 6-foot-9, 262-pound Fizer averaged 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 72 regular-season games with the Bulls. He is expected to join the team Sunday during its training in Melbourne, Australia.

The USA Goodwill Games Team, coached by Minnesota's Flip Saunders, also includes Shane Battier of the Memphis Grizzlies, Calvin Booth and Rashard Lewis of the Seattle SuperSonics, Baron Davis of the Charlotte Hornets, Shawn Marion of the Phoenix Suns; Kenyon Martin of the New Jersey Nets; Andre Miller of the Cleveland Cavaliers; Mike Miller of the Orlando Magic; Jermaine O'Neal of the Indiana Pacers; Wally Szczerbiak of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jason Terry of the Atlanta Hawks.

The Goodwill Games will be held Sept. 3-9 in Brisbane, Australia.
