Hey, it's no secret that having Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal is a pretty good place to start. So while the word "dynasty" may get thrown around too often, even those not wearing purple admit the Lakers could put together an extended run, as evident by the responses we received to our Summer Spotlight feature on the guys from L.A. In discussing the Summer Spotlight, we posed this question: How many titles will this Laker group end up winning? Here are your answers.
Your Lakers Feedback

As selfish as Kobe can be and as much as he wouldn't have to share the spotlight in another city, it's a good bet that his desire to one-up Jordan will keep him in L.A. That means, chalk the Lakers up for seven championships before Shaq (who wants a dynasty) retires or Kobe bolts.
Craig Rudnick
The key to the puzzle is Phil Jackson. Like him or not, respect him or not, they did not win with Kobe and Shaq before Phil. They will win every year as long as Phil is there. After that, maybe and maybe not. Even with all the other teams building to beat the Lakers, and the NBA changing the rules to beat Shaq and the Lakers, don't expect to tune in to the NBA Finals to see anyone else win any time soon.

As long as Shaq and Kobe are willing to work together, this Laker team should be able to win five more titles. They will shuffle bench players and supporting cast just like the Bulls of the 90's. If Mitch Kupchak is capable of filling in the role players positions as he has the past two years, there will be a Laker Dynasty to match the Jordan dynasty.
Tim Leung
As many as Shaq wants.

Lakers will win NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO more championships. Midway through December The Kobe-Shaq saga will continue with Kobe ending up getting traded to the Bulls, making the Sixers the 2001-2002 champs and '02-'03 through '09-'10 the Bulls will have their dynasty again. I CAN'T WAIT.
Kyle
Seven: One less than Michael will win after he's done with the Wizards.

When you have Shaq and Kobe, there's no limit to how many titles they will win. If can co-exist in the season like they did in the playoffs you're looking at a team that will break the Bulls' record for wins in a season.
Darryl Crudup
The Lakers will win until they get bored. I'm not limiting them, either, but looking around the league the only teams that improved were the Raptors, Lakers, and MAYBE, the Kings.
Kwaku Danso
Too many. Will the East get see another championship before the end of the decade?
Kenneth Feng
The Shaq/Kobe/Phil Lakers will win three more titles before Phil and Shaq retire. Then the Kobe Lakers will struggle trying to rebuild, but will find a way to win a couple more titles before Kobe hangs it up. This will give Kobe seven titles, one more than MJ, and a legitimate claim at being called "The Best Player Ever"!
Steve Olivier
How many years are left on Shaq's contract? There's your answer. Until (Shaq) retires, the Lakers will continue getting extremely good, useful players for bargain prices.
Dale Honabach
Do you believe in conspiracies? Will the NBA allow a Laker dynasty? I think these Lakers are capable of doing what the Celtics did in their heyday.
Timothy Hoover The longer Shaq and Kobe play together, the more they mature together. That's what is scary about the whole thing.
Manuel Padia
As long as Shaq plays his contract out (none of that premature retirement talk) and Kobe doesn't get traded, this team will challenge (and most likely break) the Celtics record.
Sameer Suterwala
With Shaq and Kobe at their current ages, and with their current contracts, it's fair to say that they will be operating at this high a level (or higher, if that's not scary) for at least another four years. Shaq has claimed he'll retire in three years, when he is 32, but he tends to be whimsical in a lot of what he says. It would be unfair to expect the Lakers, as talented as they are, to win all of the next four championships. Especially when you consider that Phil Jackson may retire again in a couple of years himeself. Look for the Lakers to win three of the next four titles.

As many as they want. As many as the powerless NBA allows them to (barring any more 'Shaq Zone Rules'). And as many as any other franchise ever (Boston here we come).
Javier Jimenez
I see this current bunch four-peating before any real complacency sets in. After that, Vince or Allen or one of the yet-to-be-realized superstars will probably rise up and be hungry enough to take over as champions.
Dan Navarro
This team could win 10 or more. I think in order for that to happen, Kobe will have to live with his current role for perhaps 5 to 7 years. As Shaq fades from being the leading scorer to concentrating on the defensive end and rebounding, Kobe will become the man in leading the league in scoring. Shaq will be in his late 30's and Kobe will be in his early 30's. I'm not sure how long Phil would want to stay, but if the players could convince him to stay for the whole thing, Uh-oh. ... If they don't win seven, it was a major waste. They need to surpass Jordan's title count. Shaq's talk of retiring at 32 is either a blessing for the league or a shame for the Lakers. This thing could last a decade, if they stick together.
Jacob Gordon
It seems someone would be crazy to say that the Lakers won't be as dominant as they appear to be on paper. However, the Celtics in the mid-80's thought they were going to keep winning championships with the vast number of talented players they had and look what happened to them? While Shaq is a dominant big man and Kobe is one of the greatest, this is the NBA and nothing motivates other teams and other great players more than wanting to bring down the egos and attitudes of teams that are loaded with talent. ... I'm not saying that LA won't win more championships, but don't count out the heart and determination to beat the "mighty Lakers" of the rest of the league.
Darin Pratt
Throughout sports history, whenever a talented team wins a couple of championships, people start thinking "dynasty." But dynasties rarely happen. When you look at the Lakers at face value your initial thought is that "this team will dominate for years!" But the reality of it is that when you consider factors like age, injury, free agency, and especially in this case egos, the likelihood of this team remaining intact for years is doubtful.
