    Get the Coach's Edge

Let the experts at Coach's Edge get you ready for the NCAA Tournament with an inside look at the Louisville playbook.
Until its loss to UNC Charlotte in the Conference USA tournament quarterfinals, Louisville had been coming on strong at the right time.

The Cardinals have several solid players and a deep team. Tony Williams, Nate Johnson and Marques Maybin have all enjoyed good seasons. They played much better this season than I expected they would. I give Denny Crum a lot of credit for a job well done.

Louisville has a strong halfcourt offensive game, and its defense really picked up in the last month. The Cardinals were much better in February than they were in January. I saw them beat DePaul in Chicago, and they did a great job shutting down Quentin Richardson.

The question mark for the Cardinals is rebounding. Dion Edward and Tony Williams do a decent job on the boards, but they could get hurt against a big team, especially if they can get to the Sweet 16. -- Larry Conley, ESPN
