 BOONE, N.C. (AP) _ Karim Razzak rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns as Appalachian State scored 28 unanswered points to beat Eastern Kentucky 34-20 Saturday. The Mountaineers (1-1) increased their lead to 34-14 with Razzak's big play of the game. The walk-on ran 52 yards for a touchdown with 5:56 remaining in the game. His first touchdown of the game, a 9-yard run in the third quarter, was the first of his career. Eastern Kentucky (1-1) scored first on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Waylon Chapman to Anthony Watson. Then the Mountaineers reeled off 28 straight points in the second and third quarters to take a 28-7 lead with 5:54 to go in the third quarter. Appalachian State took the lead for good on Rashad Slade's 6-yard pass from David Reaves. Then Troy Albea recovered the ball in the endzone for a touchdown. Both times the two-point conversions failed.
