POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) _ Quarterback Travis Brown tossed six touchdown passes as Northern Arizona spoiled homecoming with a 43 to 28 win over Idaho State on Saturday afternoon. Brown now has 70 career touchdown passes, tying the school record held by Greg Wyatt. After a scoreless first quarter, Brown connected with three different receivers as NAU (3-2, 1-1 Big Sky) led 22-0 at the half. Brown threw for 338 yards. The Lumberjacks' defense sacked Bengal quarterback Kevin McCarthy eight times and forced a turnover. ``It was one of those games where our defensive quickness maybe surprised them,'' Northern Arizona head coach Jerome Souers said. Idaho State (2-4, 0-4) has lost four games in a row and their last five homecoming contests. Bengal defensive back Eric Major had a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
