DAYTON, Ohio (AP) _ Pat McLaughlin scored twice on one-yard touchdown runs and threw a 32-yard scoring pass to Randy Hemmelgarn to lead Dayton to a 41-0 victory over San Diego on Saturday night.

The Flyers (3-3) scored on their first four possessions, with McLaughlin's pass to Hemmelgarn _ his longest completion of the night _ coming on the first play after Dayton recovered a San Diego fumble.

McLaughlin was 4-of-8 for 83 yards as Dayton stayed mostly on the ground. David George rushed 21 times for 134 yards, including touchdown runs of two and one yards, and Jimmy Lee rushed 22 times for 108 yards, including a 26-yard TD run.

Lee has gained more than 100 yards in every since the season opener, when he sat out half the game with an injury.

San Diego (2-3) made just 1-of-12 third-down conversions, had two turnovers result in Dayton touchdowns, and had 162 total yards, compared with 400 for Dayton. San Diego's Tom Jackson was 7-of-19 for 33 yards with two interceptions, with the second one leading to McLaughlin's last touchdown.
