  RECAP | BOX SCORE

EASTON, Pa. (AP) _ One play after dropping a third-down pass deep in Bucknell territory, Andy May caught the game-winning 36-yard touchdown throw from Harry Armstrong with 1:04 left to give Lafayette a come-from-behind 22-21 win Saturday over the Bison.

Trailing 21-16 with 3:51 left, Lafayette (2-5, 1-4 Patriot) stopped a Bucknell (4-2, 1-2) drive at their own 27-yard line, and the Leopards offense drove to the Bison 36. On a third-down play, May dropped a pass at the Bucknell 4 that would have given Lafayette a critical first down.

On the next play, Armstrong fired a strike past Bison defensive back George Cowan to a streaking May down the right sideline for the game-winning score.

Armstrong, starting his first game in place of a benched Brian Buczck, was 15-of-36 passing for 158 yards and two interceptions, while Brian Tuma had career-high 166 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.

Quarterback Don McDowell had a 29-yard TD run at 3:17 of the second quarter to give Bucknell a 21-7 halftime lead. McDowell also scored on a 7-yard run in the first quarter, and finished with more yards rushing (80) than passing (59) on the day.
