DOVER, Del. (AP) _ DaShane Dennis scored two touchdowns to lead Delaware State to a 34-20 victory Saturday over Morgan State in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.

Ali Culpepper and fill-in quarterback Marc Lester scored on short runs to give Morgan State (2-5, 0-5) a 14-0 lead.

After Lester's touchdown, Dennis returned the kickoff 89 yards to cut Morgan's lead to 14-7.

The Hornets (3-4, 3-1) tied the score at 14 when Rahsaan Matthews connected with halfback Grayland King on a 55-yard scoring pass with 1:55 left in the first half.

Delaware State stretched its lead to 28-14 when fullback Kevin Hanks scored on a 43-yard run, and Dennis returned a fumble 68 yards for a touchdown with 4:15 left in the third quarter.

King rushed for 103 yard and had two receptions for 61 yards. Culpepper rushed for 147 yards on 24 carries for Morgan State. Lester connected on 10 of 24 passes for 71 yards.
