LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) _ Corey Nesmith rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns and William & Mary finished with 473 offensive yards Saturday in a 35-14 victory over Virginia Military Institute. The Keydets have now lost 28 straight games to I-AA opponents.

David Corley hit Michael Partlow with a 50-yard TD pass in the first quarter to put the Tribe up 7-0. VMI's Ken White responded with a 73-yard TD run.

Nesmith had a 12-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Corley ran for another touchdown in the third quarter, and Nesmith capped the scoring in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard TD run.

Komlan Lonergan added 131 rushing yards for William & Mary.

The Tribe (3-4) held Robbie Chenault to 54 yards on 3-for-15 passing for VMI (1-7).

VMI made only five of 17 third-down conversions and finished with 229 offensive yards. The Keydets were forced to punt nine times.
