TULSA, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Anthony Limbrick and Curtis Edwards returned interceptions for touchdowns as Fresno State rallied for a 28-14 Western Athletics Conference victory over Tulsa.

The game was tied 14-14 with just over eight minutes remaining in the third quarter when Limbrick picked off Josh Blankenship's pass and brought it back 76 yards to give Fresno State (6-3, 3-1 WAC) the lead for good. Limbrick, a junior defensive back, had two interceptions.

The defense came through again in the final seconds when Edwards, a sophomore defnsive back, stepped in front of Blankenship's pass and returned it 52 yards for the clinching score.

Fresno State tied the game with just just under three minutes gone in the third quarter on Billy Volek's seven-yard touchdown pass to tight end Vince Branstetter and a two-point conversion toss to Billy Jack Pierce.

Volek completed 18-of-27 passes for 160 yards for the Bulldogs, who outgained the Golden Hurricane, 367-272.

Blankenship was 19-of-36 for 247 yards and three interceptions as Tulsa (1-7, 0-4) dropped its seventh straight game after winning the season opener.

Tulsa jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on TD runs by D.J. Barnett and Ken Bonahan. Fresno State's Jeff Hanna booted field goals of 31 and 35 yards in the second quarter.
