YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) _ Adrian Brown scored twice and Jeff Ryan threw two touchdown passes as Youngstown State rolled past North Carolina A&T 41-3 Saturday in an NCAA Division I-AA quarterfinal game.

The Penguins (11-2), trying to win their fifth division title in this decade, advanced to next Saturday's semifinals against Florida A&M. Youngstown State won division championships in 1991, 1993, 1994 and 1997.

Brown opened the scoring with a 12-yard run in the first quarter and added a 1-yard touchdown run early in the final period.

Ryan threw touchdown passes in the final minute of both the first and second quarters. The respective plays covered 23 yards to Casey Bogerd and 5 yards to John Schumacher.

Mark Griffith kicked field goals of 22 yards in the second quarter and 23 yards in the third quarter and Ime Akpan completed the scoring with a 6-yard run in the final quarter.

A 19-yard field goal by Darren Dawkins with 1:14 left in the first half was the only score for the Aggies (11-2).

Ryan was 15-for-17 for 245 passing yards. Giles caught four for 97 yards, Schumacher four for 35 yards and Renauld Ray three for 55 yards.

The Aggies' Maurice Smith led both teams in rushing with 54 yards in 13 carries. Youngstown State had a 214-129 edge in rushing yards and a 459-197 advantage in total offensive yardage.
