Not-so Happy Homecoming
Iowa kicker Nate Kaeding did it all for the Hawkeyes. This wasn't the homecoming Kliff Kingsbury imagined. Iowa used a last-minute field goal from Nate Kaeding -- his fourth of the game -- and then knocked down Kingsbury's last-second Hail Mary attempt to earn a 19-16 victory over the Red Raiders.

WITH ROD GILMORE
The performance of the Iowa defense, in particular the secondary, was the difference in this game. Iowa did a nice job of showing Texas Tech QB Kliff Kingsbury different looks, dropping seven and even eight guys into coverage and knocking the Tech receivers around. They disrupted an offense that relies on timing and never let Kingsbury get too comfortable, forcing him to throw the ball earlier than he might have liked.
Offensively, Iowa just controlled the game. They dominated time of possession and kept the Texas Tech offense off the field.
