Tide washes out in Orange Bowl OT
Never say die. Michigan didn't, and the Wolverines' persistence paid off with a 35-34 victory over Alabama in a wild Orange Bowl on Saturday night. Twice, the Wolverines trailed by 14 points, and twice they rallied to tie the Crimson Tide before eking out an overtime victory. Alabama responded with a touchdown after Shawn Thompson had given Michigan a 35-28 lead on the first OT series, but the Tide missed their PAT.

IT WAS OVER WHEN...	GAME BALL GOES TO...	STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
Alabama kicker Ryan Pflugner's PAT kick sailed wide right in overtime, giving Michigan a one-point victory and sending the Wolverines onto the field to celebrate.	Michigan QB Tom Brady, who passed for 369 yards and never let his team give up. Brady had four TD passes, including a 25-yarder on the first play of overtime.	3: Touchdowns scored each by Michigan receiver David Terrell and Alabama running back Shaun Alexander.
