NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Janell Burse's two free throws with 40 seconds remaining lifted Tulane (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP) to a 74-73 victory over Alabama-Birmingham and to a Conference USA-record 13th consecutive victory.

Burse's game-winning shots completed a 9-0 run that enabled Tulane (13-0 overall, 2-0 C-USA) to overcome a 73-65 lead by UAB (8-5, 0-2) with 4:16 left in the game.

Grace Daley led Tulane with 23 points. Burse added 15, Sarah Goree 13, reserve Britt Themann 11 and Fabrecia Roberson 10.

Mia Thrash had 14 to lead UAB.
