Blue Devils improve to 3-0 in ACC

ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia Schweitzer scored 16 points and Peppi Browne added 15 Sunday as Duke (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) won its 13th straight game, 64-45 over Georgia Tech.

In beating Georgia Tech for the 12th straight time, the Blue Devils (14-1, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) held the Yellow Jackets to a season-low 27 percent shooting, including 17.2 percent (5-for-29) in the first half. Duke has not lost since Nov. 17.

Jamie Kruppa led the Yellow Jackets (9-5, 2-3) with eight points. Guards Milli Martinez and Danielle Donehew were a combined 6-for-23 from the field.

After Browne's fastbreak layup created a 56-35 lead with 5:17 remaining, Duke maintained a 20-point advantage until the last six seconds.

Browne had nine rebounds and three steals to become the third player in Duke history with more than 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 200 assists and 200 steals. The previous two were Katie Meier and Maura Hertzog.
