BOSTON (AP) -- Becky Gottstein scored 17 points and had 14 rebounds to lead No. 25 Boston College to a 67-50 victory over St. John's on Wednesday night. Alissa Murphy also scored 17, including 8-for-8 from the foul line, for Boston College (14-3, 3-0 Big East). Four players scored in double figures for the Eagles, who won a school-record 10th straight. Jamie Cournoyer added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Boston College, and Cal Bouchard had 10 points. Latasha Thompson had 23 points to lead St. John's (5-9, 0-4). Thompson scored eight points in a 12-2 run second-half run that narrowed Boston College's lead to six points with 10:53 remaining. But BC controlled the game in the closing minutes, outscoring St. John's 12-1. Boston College jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first half after holding St. John's scoreless for seven minutes.
