COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- Desire Francis scored 26 points and Angie Welle 24 as No. 13 Iowa State pulled away late to beat Texas A&M 81-58 on Wednesday night. Francis was 10-of-19 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and Welle was 10-of-11 from the field. Iowa State (20-5 overall, 11-3 Big 12) was 30-of-62 (48 percent) from the field, including 6-of-17 (35 percent) from 3-point range. Texas A&M (11-13, 3-11) was 25-of-59 (42 percent) from the field but only 1-of-15 from beyond the arc. Iowa State outrebounded the Aggies 43-25. The Cyclones led 34-29 at the half and it was 58-54 with seven minutes left when Iowa State pulled away. Jaynetta Saunders scored 19 for Texas A&M, Prissy Sharpe had 14 and Kera Alexander 10.
