LEXINGTON, Ky. (Ticker) -- LaToya Thomas scored 19 points and Nitra Perry added 17, leading 17th-ranked Missisippi State to its first road win over Kentucky in 12 years, a 63-46 Southeastern Conference victory. Thomas was 8 of 17 from the field and pulled down eight rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (20-6, 7-6 SEC), who reached the 20-win mark for the first time in school history. Mississippi State also got 10 points and four assists from Angela Harris while shooting 40 percent (25 of 62) from the field. The Lady Bulldogs committed only 12 turnovers while converting 22 Kentucky miscues into 27 points. LaTonya McDole had 11 points and seven rebounds and Natalie Martinez scored 10 points for the Wildcats (14-13, 5-9), who had not lost at home to Mississippi State since 1988.
Kentucky shot under 38 percent (17 of 45) and was only 2 of 11 from 3-point range.
