KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Texas recorded its first 20-win campaign in three seasons and advanced to the Big 12 Conference tournament semifinals with a 71-68 victory over 21st-ranked Oklahoma. Edwina Brown had 26 points and 14 rebounds with Tracy Cook and Carla Littleton adding 13 points apiece for the Lady Longhorns (20-11), who will face No. 7 Texas Tech in Thursday's semifinals. It was the 745th win for coach Jody Conradt, who guided Texas to a 16-12 finish last season and a 12-15 mark in 1997-98. The Lady Longhorns have won three of their last four contests and two of three meetings with the Sooners this season. Neither team shot well as the Lady Longhorns made 37 percent (24-of-65) from the field while the Sooners converted 40 percent (23-of-58). Texas hit 22-of-29 free throws while Oklahoma sank 14-of-22. Conference Player of the Year Phylesha Whaley had 21 points and 10 rebounds while Stacey Dales added 12 points for the Sooners (23-7), who had their three-game winning streak halted. Caton Hill chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds and Sunny Hardeman scored 11 points for Oklahoma.
