DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Cal Bouchard scored 20 points and hit a key 3-pointer with 2:39 left to lead No. 20 Boston College to a 77-70 victory over No. 22 Duke on Wednesday night in the second round of the Women's Preseason NIT.

Bouchard's 3-pointer, her only field goal of the second half, put Boston College up 69-67. Becky Gottstein added a putback off a miss by Bouchard with 1:43 left to give Boston College (2-0) a four-point lead.

Duke (1-1) trailed 71-70 with 1:03 remaining after a 3-pointer by Georgia Schweitzer, but the Blue Devils missed six of their final seven shots, and Boston College went 6-for-6 from the foul line over the final 46 seconds.

Boston College will play No. 3 Georgia in Sunday's semifinals. Georgia beat No. 18 Virginia Tech 65-60 Wednesday night.

The loss marked the one-year anniversary of Duke's last regular-season defeat at home, 72-70, to Virginia Tech on Nov. 17, 1998.

Bouchard was 4-of-5 from 3-point range, while Jamie Cournoyer led the Eagles with 21 points, going 7-for-11 from the field and 7-for-7 at the line. Alyssa Murphy added 17 points.

Schweitzer led Duke with 21 points, while Rochelle Parent notched her first career double-double and tied her career high in rebounds with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Duke trailed 48-39 at halftime but rallied behind Michele Matyasovsky, whose 3-pointer with 3:58 to play gave Duke a 67-64 lead.

Bouchard answered with two free throws to close the margin to one. After a Duke turnover, she missed the front of another 1-and-1, but Cournoyer grabbed the rebound and fed a circling Bouchard for the go-ahead basket.

Boston College made 18 of its first 29 shots, with Bouchard going 5-for-5 in the first half. Cournoyer hit six of her first seven shots and had 15 first-half points.
