 HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Angie Ball scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as No. 2 Georgia routed Alcorn State, 78-38, in the first game of the Hobby Airport Hilton Invitational. Coco Miller and Shala Crawford had 12 points apiece while Tawana McDonald pulled down 10 rebounds for Georgia (8-1), which will play Houston on Sunday. Taresha Coleman collected just eight points to lead Alcorn State (2-2), which scored only 19 points in each half. Kamrica Turk and Daisha Reed contributed six points apiece. The Lady Bulldogs shot 59 percent (19-of-32) in the first half to open a 39-19 lead. They finished the game at 51 percent (32-of-63) and outrebounded the Lady Braves, 46-30. Georgia outscored Alcorn State 44-14 in the paint and converted 26 Lady Braves' turnovers into 24 points. Alcorn State shot just 27 percent (14-of-52), including 2-of-12 from 3-point range.
