COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- It wasn't pretty, but Georgia coach Andy Landers is glad his No. 5 Lady Bulldogs were able to pull out victory over Tennessee Tech. "It was tough to come in to a place like Tech and come out with a win," Landers said Sunday after the 77-72 victory. "They did a really good job." Georgia (11-1), which has won four straight games, took the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Camille Murphy with 11:27 remaining in the second half, making it 48-46. Georgia was up by four when the lights went out at the 3:52 mark. The game was delayed for about 10 minutes. When play resumed, Janet Holt's layup cut the deficit to two for Tech (4-4). But Georgia answered with a 6-0 run to seal the game. Tawana McDonald led the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points. Georgia held a 37-28 lead at halftime but Tennessee Tech started the second half with a 16-3 run. Rachel Gobble and Allison Clark had 3-pointers and two baskets by Holt pulled the Golden Eaglettes to within one, 46-45, at the 14:03 mark. "I gotta give Georgia credit, they have an outstanding team," said Tennessee Tech coach Bill Worrell. "I was very impressed with them. But I was also proud of our effort. We made some mistakes at the end that they just capitalized on." Deana Nolan and Coco Miller had 14 points each for Georgia. Holt led Tech with 23 points and eight rebounds and Gobble added 13. | ALSO SEE Womens College Basketball Scoreboard
