AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Erica Junod led No. 9 Iowa State's
3-point attack, hitting seven shots from behind the arc en route
to a 93-72 victory over Liberty in the final of the Pella
Corporation Cyclone Classic.
Junod scored 23 points in 22 minutes off the bench, hitting
7-of-8 shots -- all from 3-point range. Iowa State (7-0) went
17-of-44 from long range.
Angie Welle had 14 points and nine rebounds and Megan Taylor
added 13 and 11 for the Cyclones, who have won their last four
games by an average of nearly 25 points.
Erica Haugen scored 12 points for Iowa State, which shot 43
percent from the field (30-of-70) compared to 39 percent
(26-of-66) for Liberty (2-5).
The Flames went 8-of-28 from 3-point range, with Michelle Fricke
going 4-of-8 en route to 21 points.
Monique Leonard added 11 points for Liberty, which has lost
three straight games.
