STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) -- LaToya Thomas scored 20 points and Cynthia Hall had a triple-double as Mississippi State (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 Associated Press) routed Louisiana-Lafayette 101-68 in the first round of the MSU Classic Saturday. Hall had 12 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to record the Lady Bulldogs' first triple-double since 1996, when LaCharlotte Smith had one against Oral Roberts. Thomas was 8-for-14 from the floor for Mississippi State (5-2). She played just 26 minutes and extended her streak of scoring in double-digits to 39 games. Jennifer Fambrough scored 18 points for the Lady Bulldogs, who built a 55-29 halftime lead and were never challenged. Reserve Jessica Carter added 14 points and Seneca Anderson came of the bench to score 12 for Mississippi State. Charlotte Green led Louisiana-Lafayette (4-3) with 14 points. She was the only Ragin' Cajuns player to score in double-digits. They shot just 37 percent from the field.
