RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Ivy Gardner scored 14 points off the bench to lead a balanced attack as No. 13 North Carolina State cruised to its seventh straight victory, a 69-47 triumph over East Carolina.

Gardner hit 6-of-8 shots in 18 minutes as North Carolina State's substitutes outscored East Carolina's bench, 35-17. Carisse Moody had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Tynesha Lewis added 10 points as the Wolfpack (8-1) improved to 29-3 all-time against the Lady Pirates.

Tamilla Murray scored 16 points for East Carolina (4-5), which committed 31 turnovers and suffered its third consecutive loss.

Amy Simpson scored all five of her points during a 9-0 spurt that gave the Wolfpack a 17-7 lead when Gardner hit a jumper 10:41 before halftime. Gardner scored seven points in the first half when North Carolina State opened a 35-21 lead.

The Wolfpack never let East Carolina back in the game as they opened the second with a 13-2 surge to push the margin to 48-23 on a free throw by Talisha Scates with 16:08 to go.
