AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Nicole Levandusky set a school record with 11 steals and added 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as No. 21 Xavier beat Akron 84-57 on Friday night. Kate Kreager had 16 points and 11 assists to help give coach Melanie Balcomb her 100th victory at Xavier (8-1). Jennifer Phillips added 17 points, and Taru Tuukkanen had 14. Cheryl Bowles and Hollie Stephenson scored 12 points apiece and Jamie Krivak had 11 for the Zips (2-9), who committed 24 turnovers and shot just 32 percent (19-for-59) from the field. Xavier used scoring runs of 16-3 and 16-5 to build a 50-31 halftime lead. Levandusky started the first run with a layup and set up four more Akron baskets with steals as the Musketeers went ahead 24-12. She had two steals and a layup in the second surge.
