Anderson was 12-of-15 from the field to help Vanderbilt (11-2) shoot 62.5 percent. The Commodores have made at least 51 percent of their shots in 12 straight games.

Jillian Danker added 25 shots on 10-of-11 shooting and Jenni Benningfield had 19 and a career-high 13 rebounds for Vanderbilt. Danker contributed 12 points during a 23-7 run that helped the Commodores open a commanding 51-25 halftime lead.

Ashley McElhiney chipped in 12 assists and eight points for Vanderbilt, which had a 50-30 advantage off the boards and outscored Howard in the paint, 58-24.

Essence Coggins led all scorers with 28 points off the bench for Howard (5-5), which shot just 32.5 percent (25-of-77) en route to its third loss in four games.
