SPRINGFIELD, Missouri (Ticker) -- Jackie Stiles set a Missouri
Valley Conference career scoring record, totaling 24 points, as
14th-ranked Southwest Missouri State buried Indiana State,
98-48. With her 11th point of the night, Stiles broke the league record held by Drake's Wanda Ford. Stiles hit 8-of-15 field goals and 5-of-7 free throws, giving her 2,650 career points. Kinga Kiss added 24 points and 11 rebounds for Southwest Missouri State (8-3, 2-1 MVC), which rebounded from Monday's 66-63 loss to Drake. Erica Vicente and Tara Mitchem combined for 22 points and 12 assists for the Bears, who shot 62.5 percent (20-of-32) while holding the Sycamores to 23 percent (7-of-31) in the first half en route to a 47-18 lead. Celeste Hlebovy scored 13 points off the bench for Indiana State (4-8, 1-2), which shot just 29 percent (18-of-63) for the game and lost for the third time in four tries. Southwest Missouri State held a lopsided 58-24 advantage off the boards.
