CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia (Ticker) -- Schuye LaRue scored 24 points and Svetlana Volnaya added 20 off the bench as No. 25 Virginia doubled up Atlantic Coast Conference rival Maryland, 82-41.

After a shaky 2-2 start, the Cavaliers (11-4, 3-0 ACC) have won nine of 11, including all three of their conference games.

LaRue hit 12-of-18 shots and Volnaya 7-of-11, helping Virginia to a sparkling 60 percent (34-of-57) shooting performance. The Cavaliers held a 30-26 rebounding advantage and forced 27 turnovers.

Leading 9-8 just under four minutes into the game, Virginia took control when LaRue hit a 12-footer, Volnaya connected from five feet and drilled a 3-pointer to spark a 15-2 run that made it 24-10 with 10:24 remaining in the first half.

Deedee Warley scored 13 points for Maryland (10-4, 1-2), which has dropped two of three after a 9-2 start. The Terps shot just 32 percent (15-of-47) and went 10-of-16 from the line.
