Colonials hot shooting cools Xavier RECAP | BOX SCORE

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Lindsey Davidson made 11 of 12 shots and
scored a career-high 26 points Saturday, leading George Washington
to an 88-74 victory over Xavier (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP).
Davidson made all four of her 3-pointers in carrying the
Colonials (8-5 overall, 2-0 Atlantic 10) to their first victory in five
attempts against a ranked opponent. The Colonials shot a
season-high 56 percent.
Davidson's lone miss came on a foul line jumper with 13:28
remaining.
Petra Dubovcova added 20 points and Ugo Oha had 16 points and
eight rebounds for George Washington. Elena Vishniakova, a reserve,
scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half to help hold off
Xavier.
Taru Tuukkanen scored 21 points for Xavier (10-2, 1-1).
George Washington led 44-33 at the half. Xavier drew to 63-60 on
Jennifer Parr's 3-pointer with 8:21 remaining. But Davidson
extended the lead to six points on her fourth three pointer of the
game. Oha and Vishniakova combined for 10 of the Colonials' next 12
points to lead 78-67 with 4:04 remaining.
The victory is George Washington's first at Smith Center since
North Carolina State snapped the Colonials' 24-game home winning
streak Dec. 28.
Four of the the Colonials' five losses have come against ranked
opponents -- Connecticut, Rutgers, N.C. State and Virginia.
